About

Engineer. Researcher.
Builder.

Civil engineering is my craft; the subsurface is my canvas. I work where geotechnics, tunneling, and emerging technologies meet.

James portrait

I'm James — a civil engineer specializing in geotechnical engineering, tunneling, and underground construction. I'm currently pursuing my Master's degree at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where my research focuses on rock mechanics and the engineering of complex subsurface systems.

At WSP USA, I contributed to tunnel support design, performed rock mass characterization, conducted groundwater sampling and subsurface investigations, and prepared geotechnical analyses and reports for major infrastructure projects.

Beyond the field, I'm fascinated by the convergence of engineering and emerging technology — particularly how AI can elevate engineering workflows, accelerate research, and democratize technical education. Through JKore Engineering and Farms, I'm building a venture that fuses infrastructure thinking with sustainable agriculture and digital learning.

My ambition: contribute to the next generation of resilient, intelligent infrastructure — under the ground and above it.
